Bon Voyage

We are on the Celebrity Solstice as I write to you all.  The weather has been overcast and a bit stormy at times.  The boat has been slightly rocking (not sea-sick rocking, though thank God) ever since we got out to open ocean.  We are headed to New Zealand and our having a first full sea day.

Kyle & Pat came to the wharf and waved to us while the ship left port.  It was dark & rainy but they still came.  We were so excited they did that.  Bob spotted them with this binoculars and I waved my white tank top hoping they would spot us (the crazy old lady waving a white flag), then I put it back on since I didn't want to scare the Ozzies.  haha  Bob signaled with his cell phone light and we think they signaled back.

The ship is magnificent and we are excited to be able to unpack and call this our home for the next 18 days. We are so lucky to be able to do this trip and are having a wonderful time.  We sampled some Martinis (we don't usually drink them) at the frozen Martini Bar before going to our Muster Station.  It was quite a long process this time.  I guess they are getting more instructional since the tragic Costa Concordia accident.

We don't have enough pics to show right now but will send some as soon as it's appropriate.  We do have unlimited internet (got a good deal since I'm a Captain's Club member) so we won't have to worry about that.  Although sometimes the internet can be slow depending on our location.

So email us, we love hearing from you all.  Tonight is the first formal night so we will get someone to take pics of us all dressed up.

Love to you all,
Kendra (& Bob)
