Last day in Sydney

Well, we've had a wonderful time in Oz.  These pics are from our last full day.  We got to drive around with Kyle and see the outskirts of Sydney and then we visited Pat's parents on their lovely farm.  We really wish we could have met them earlier so we could spend more time with them.  Lovely, lovely people.  Hope we see them again.   These pics are not in order.

I guess when the tide comes in their pool gets filled.  South of Sydney.

Came across this tree covered in sandals!   haha

We board our ship tomorrow for our 18 day voyage to Honolulu.  We do plan to get internet on the ship, but because it's not free and isn't always fast, our pics may be limited.  We will send more pics after we get home.  Please stay tuned as we will be in touch.  Hope you're enjoying our blog.

Sydney Day 2, 3 & 4

We've been pretty busy walking and walking and walking around the city and outskirts.  The weather has turned to sunshine (although today-Wednesday, is iffy).  Day 2 Bob and I walked down to Darling Harbour and had dinner at a Pub.  The norm here is to go up to the bar and order your food and drink, pay and then they bring it to you.  I have only had 2 dinners, where you they take your order at your table, since I've been in Oz.

Day 3 we walked all around the Botanical Gardens near the Opera House.

Day 4 Kyle took us to Bondi Beach & Manly Beach via the ferry.

Here are the pics!

Botanical Gardens

This pond is near the ocean and the eels from the harbour slither across the grass at night and jump into the pond.  They apparently take down the ducks.  The ducks apparently feed on the baby eels.  Its the circle of life.  haha

The Opera House is SEVERAL buildings (venues).  I couldn't stop taking pics of it from different angles.

Bondi Beach

Self-explanatory  haha!

Aboriginal guys at the ferry docks.

Head on from the ferry coming into the Harbour

It's Fall here but the temperature is a perfect 25 celsius

Taken from the train platform.

Today we are checking out the countryside and also meeting Pat's parents at their farm.

Cockatoo Heaven

Just innocently sitting on our balcony and we were visited by the residents.

Last sunset or sunrise (can't remember) in Hamilton Island

That's our hotel on the far left.

They are on our neighbour's balcony.

Well, hello there!

One of them surprised me from behind and landed on my shoulder.   That's what the scratch marks on my shoulders are from!

Aren't they great????

I'm in heaven!

Yes, he's giving me a love bite.  They were surprisingly gentle, but quite aggressive.
