4 Days at Sea

Well, our calm, flat sea has changed.  Today is day 3 and I am looking forward to some land.  The seas have been quite rocky (6 foot waves).  There is a lot of salt on our balcony railing.  The last 2 days we haven't felt any motion sickness, but today I felt a little queasy so I took some Gravol and I feel better. The Activity Director wants to start surfing lessons on the waves splashing back and forth in the pool (Actually, they drained the solarium pool because of the waves)!

It's definitely getting more humid and warm as we head north. (duh) There is always something to do on the ship, not just eating and drinking. The shows are really good with some super talented people performing.  I think the song and dance production team are the best I've seen so far on any other cruise I've been on.  I went on a 'cabin crawl' today and saw some other types of staterooms & suites.

At the Great Barrier Reef I went swimming with my cheap watch by accident.  It is difficult to tell what time it is on the ship if you don't have a watch.  Our cell phones aren't always accurate with the time changing so much, so I broke down and bought myself a decent watch on the ship.  I've also participated in Karaoke night and sang 'I think I Love You' by the Partridge Family, 'Superstitious' by Stevie Wonder, and a duet with the Karaoke host.... 'Love Shack' by the B52s.  You would have all been so proud.  ahaaahaha  Bob actually recorded me on his phone.  (will be available on dvd and youtube)  I (Bob) did not participate in consideration of the other passengers!

I have managed to train a few bartenders how to make my special & healthy margaritas.  They do it quite happily.  Usually they use a mix with a lot of sugar and egg white.  So instead, I make them squeeze a bunch of lime pieces and add water.  I give them a packet of stevia and they mix it in for me.  The service and crew are amazing on Celebrity (I am NOT drunk as I write this, by the way-LOL).

I will start taking some pics of the interior of the ship for you all.  The food has been great.  We mostly go to the Dining Room for dinner and the Buffet for lunch (& breakfast on early days).  They make their own ice cream on the ship and I've been trying to abstain from it. Not me!! They have lots of gluten-free pizza, pasta and bread so I've been doing that as much as possible.

Trivia is our (my) favourite thing to do since it's fun and you can meet people.  Reading somewhere quiet is another favourite thing we (Bob) likes to do as well.  Today is our 4th day at sea and the seas are calm.  The temperature and humidity has gone up SIGNIFICANTLY as well.  Tomorrow is Tahiti and I assume it'll be super hot and humid.  Feel sorry, very sorry for us!!  haha  We are renting a car in Tahiti and just driving around to explore on our own.  We are basically halfway through our cruise now.  'Til next time........

Some of you, who followed my Mediterranean Cruise, might find these pics familiar since that ship was the sister ship of this one.

This is the Penthouse Suite (largest on the ship).  On this side of the people is a (player) grand piano.  There's also a dining room on the other side of the people.
